- The geometry of the gauges allows simultaneous axial checking for accurate wheel truing
- The gauges have plastic-coated tips to avoid marking the wheel
- The two upright arms move quickly using the knob to adjust to the hub spacing
- The measuring arm can be adjusted to suit the wheel diameter, while the two lateral gauges adjust to the rim width
- When changing the wheel to be checked, the upright arms and measuring arm can be quickly moved out of the way and returned to position when the new wheel is fitted
- This allows many wheels of the same size to be trued quickly.
Unior was founded in 1919 in Zreče, in present-day Slovenia, where it is still based. For bicycle care, it makes tools, repair stands and wheel equipment. Its name, adopted in the 1970s, comes from the expression “universal tools” and reflects its roots in metalworking.
