Colnago C68 Road Disc - Shimano Ultegra Di2 12-Speed
Couldn't load pickup availability
The Colnago C68 Road Disc is a road bike with a Shimano Ultegra Di2 12-speed groupset and a CC.01 handlebar. You can choose from sizes 42, 45.5, 48.5, 51, 53, 55 and 57, depending on the colour, for your road rides.
The C68 Road brings Colnago craftsmanship to the road, with a modular carbon frame built and assembled by hand in Cambiago.
- Gearing combination: The 52/36T crankset works with a 11-34T cassette.
- Pirelli tyres: The build features Pirelli P-Zero Race TM tyres in size 700x28c.
- T47 bottom bracket: The internal bearings are housed in threaded alloy cups inside the bottom bracket shell.
- Integrated multitool: The headset top cap houses a removable tool for minor adjustments during your ride.
Choose it if you are looking for a Colnago C-series bike with joints still visible in the frame: a nod to its construction heritage, incorporated into the design of the C68.
Manufacturer's details
FORK
The fork changes from the previous TFS 'D' shape, with its complex internal ribbing and full-length bonded metal-threaded bolt, to a much simpler, more elegant and lighter 1"1/8 round tube.
To route the brake housing internally, we adopted a special patented eccentric headset system, avoiding the need to use the bulkier and heavier 1.5" bearing.
BOTTOM BRACKET
The C68 now features a revised bottom bracket, moving from our previous TF82.5 to a more "standard" and easier-to-find T47.
The system works in the same way, with an oversized bottom bracket shell and internal bearings housed in threaded alloy cups.
You can build your C68 with a standard BB from Sram and Campagnolo, while premium products such as CeramicSpeed, Chris King and many other options can be used for compatibility with Shimano 24mm axles.
OTHER FEATURES
The frame weight for an unpainted size 485 is approximately 925gr, with only 10gr more (935gr) for the titanium version.
FROM LUGS TO PARTS
The number of parts that make up the frame is the same as in the previous C series (C64).
Although, aesthetically, its lines and styling may be closer to those of a frame made in a single piece.
Some joints are still visible on the C68 as a reminder of our roots, while other joints appear invisible thanks to the new aerodynamic design.
HEAD TUBE
The new split head tube is now stronger, lighter and more customisable than ever.
The new layout allows variations in stack and reach, along with increased stiffness for an improved riding experience.
INTEGRATED MULTITOOL
The return to a round steerer tube lets us add a touch of "we ride too" to the bike.
At some point, everyone needs a multitool to deal with any minor adjustments that may be necessary during an epic or less epic ride (such as a flat tyre).
So we integrated this tool into the headset top cap.
Twist and pull, that's all.
