- The quick-release system allows the mechanic to squeeze the jaws together by hand, at which point the clamp already grips the frame's seatpost with enough force to hold the bike in position. Turning the handle applies additional tension to the jaws to ensure a firm grip.
- The Pro Shop clamp features a quick-release button used to release the jaws after initially releasing the tension with the rotating handle.
Unior was founded in 1919 in Zreče, in present-day Slovenia, where it is still based. For bicycle care, it makes tools, repair stands and wheel equipment. Its name, adopted in the 1970s, comes from the expression “universal tools” and reflects its roots in metalworking.
