Maxxis Forekaster Exo Tubeless Ready Tyre 29x2.40WT

Description

The new version of the Maxxis Forekaster is aimed squarely at modern short-travel trail bikes (100mm-130mm), the "downcountry" segment. Designed to be a "Goldilocks" tyre, the new Forekaster (released in July 2022) rolls faster than a Minion or even the Dissector, but provides more predictable cornering, climbing and braking traction than the Aspen or the Rekon.

Technologies:

EXO

EXO is a cut- and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of many Maxxis mountain bike and gravel tyres. This densely woven fabric is lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that tyre performance remains unaffected. Choose EXO protection for greater durability for gravel, XC and light trail riding.

TUBELESS READY

Tubeless ready tyres offer riders numerous benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance than a tyre with an inner tube; and less chance of flats because there is no inner tube. Tubeless ready tyres are marked with the letters "TR" on the sidewall.

WT - Wide Trail

WT construction optimises the tyre's tread and volume to suit modern rims. Traditional tyres are designed around narrower rims and risk creating an excessively square profile, compromising performance. WT tyres are optimised for 35 mm wide rims and work correctly with both 30 and 35 mm rims.
