ADDIX: a new compound for all the legendary tyres in the EVO series.
Each compound is made from natural and synthetic rubber and other solid and liquid ingredients. Carbon black, silica, silanes, oil, sulphur antioxidants, to name a few. The quality of all these ingredients determines whether a tyre is exceptional or simply average. With countless combinations of ingredients to choose from, determining the optimal formula requires top specialists, very good raw materials and intensive testing. Naturally, the final formula is the company's most closely guarded secret.

ADDIX was created using a completely new formula. We meticulously tested the raw materials we purchased to secure a supply of the highest-quality ingredients in the world. We significantly increased the silica filler content, so we can now control the mixing process more precisely. The resulting ADDIX compounds can be characterised in particular as a balance between grip, rolling resistance and wear, with a much wider range of applications.

ADDIX compounds are produced in a completely new mixer, using a process we designed in-house. Modern machinery now allows us to use the most advanced and precise mixing process in the bicycle tyre industry. Entirely new possibilities are opening up, as we can now change every parameter as we wish. This is cutting-edge mixing technology, controlled by our specialists, offering us new mixing possibilities. With ADDIX technology, we are creating a completely new level of tyres with exceptional properties.

Lightning-fast - Thunder Burt. The designers' aim was to combine the best features of Racing Ralph and Furious Fred in a single tyre. In terms of grip, Thunder Burt, with its abundance of fine knobs, is hot on the heels of Racing Ralph, and in terms of rolling
resistance, it even outperforms "Furious" Fred.

Schwalbe was established in Germany in 1973 by Ralf Bohle, with roots in the family business founded in Bergneustadt in 1922. Today it is based in Reichshof and makes bicycle tyres and inner tubes. Its name means “swallow” in German and translates Swallow, the name of the first tyres imported from Korea.
