The SRAM Quarq Rival XPLR E1 crankset is a single-chainring crankset with lightened aluminium arms and a spindle-based power meter, designed for riders who want training data with a simple drivetrain. The meter measures left-leg power and calculates total power in watts. The user-replaceable AAA battery lasts over 400 hours, and the weight increase over a standard crankset is less than 40 g.
X-SYNC technology, with alternating wide and narrow teeth, provides improved chain control. The XPLR chainline is designed for compatibility with Full Mount rear derailleurs. This version has 42 teeth, a 12/13-speed drivetrain and a DUB Wide bottom bracket.

Founded in Chicago in 1987 by Stan Day and a group of cycling enthusiasts, SRAM is still based in the US city today. It makes drivetrains and brakes for road, gravel and mountain bikes. Its story began with a single product: Grip Shift, the shifter that lets riders change gear by twisting the grip.
