The Shimano HG51 8-speed cassette is a steel cassette for 8-speed freehubs, for replacing sprockets or changing gearing. The available tooth counts are 11-28, 11-30 and 11-32 teeth.
The 11-28 has a largest sprocket with 28 teeth and higher gearing, while the 11-32 goes up to 32 teeth for easier climbing; the 11-30 sits in between. The sprockets on the 11-30 have 11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 23, 26 and 30 teeth. Use a HG or IG chain for 6, 7 or 8 speeds, or a 8-speed Narrow HG chain.
