Technologies

DualCupTech
DualCupTech™ automatically aligns the bearing faces regardless of external factors. Alignment between the bearings on both sides is essential, and particular care is taken during manufacturing to minimise this concentricity value. The result is incredible: extremely smooth pedalling from day one. DualCupTech™ not only self-aligns the bearings but also creates a solid central joint without requiring threads or a single-piece design. After assembly, the bottom bracket works as a solid piece and eliminates any noise or movement issues. DualCupTech™ can be fitted and removed like any other bottom bracket, without special spanners or complex instructions.

Ceramic ball bearings
An experienced manufacturer of high-performance bearings. Ceramic ball bearings offer superior corrosion resistance, greater dimensional stability, lower density and greater heat resistance. All this results in a more efficient material for bottom brackets.

Fully sealed
Every dust particle or drop of water is a potential cause of bearing noise or wear. That is why all bottom brackets have up to five O-rings to keep dust, water, mud and moisture out of the bottom bracket.

Axial seals
All bearings have not one but DUE seals to protect against dust and moisture ingress. This section is essential to ensure maximum bottom bracket lifespan and performance.

7075-T6 aluminium
Aerospace quality and precision in one of the strongest woods. Bikone has also developed a particularly scratch-resistant matt anodised finish, worthy of any art gallery.

T6 heat treatment
For most aluminium alloys: 6061, 6063 and 7075, the best heat treatment is T6. T6 heat treatment ensures greater hardness and other mechanical properties, such as normalising the grain structure. This ensures that all our aluminium products perform perfectly throughout their lifespan.

Note: for correct compatibility, MTB cranks must always be fitted to MTB frames and road cranks to road frames.
