Campagnolo Chorus 12-Speed Rear Derailleur

The Chorus rear derailleur benefits from the same technology and design as the top-of-the-range Campagnolo and as such incorporates the refinement and performance of 12-speed Super Record and Record. With just a few small changes to the materials used in its construction, such as the aluminium outer link and outer cage plate, the Chorus version delivers exactly the same performance as the two more expensive groupsets, adding only a few grams. Chorus brings the same technology as the higher tier, such as a new trajectory optimised for larger cassettes and the fantastic 3D EMBRACE technology. The latest evolution of Embrace technology not only keeps the rear derailleur vertically aligned in the perfect position for each sprocket, but now also moves the upper jockey wheel perfectly forwards in the bicycle's direction of travel. The 3D EMBRACE technology and 12-tooth jockey wheels ensure that the rear derailleur adapts to all cassettes, as the distance remains optimal on every single sprocket, regardless of the cassette chosen.

Features

Consistent precision. On rough roads, the spring between the upper body and the pivot absorbs vibrations, always ensuring optimal chain engagement with the sprockets. The 12-tooth cage jockey wheels allow the chain to run more smoothly. The initial position of the rear derailleur can be adjusted to suit each specific cassette optimally. Easy wheel replacement. The rearward action of the rear derailleur makes it easier to remove and replace the wheel.

Founded in Vicenza in 1933 by Tullio Campagnolo, Campagnolo is still based in the Italian city and makes groupsets and wheels for road and gravel bikes. Its history also includes the wheel quick release, a mechanism the company refined to allow the wheel to be removed without tools.
