Continental Kryptotal Rear Trail Endurance Tyre 29×2.60

Optimised for the rear wheel, this all-round tyre balances grip stability, braking traction and rolling resistance. Ideal for mixed terrain as you push your limits on trails, in enduro or gravity downhill riding.

Features

• Endurance compound: A compound with balanced grip and durability. The Endurance compound delivers long service life combined with good rolling resistance and good grip. An ideal compound for trail riding or e-bikes.

• Trail casing: Performance comparable to Enduro tyres, adapted for trail use.

• Tubeless Ready: The casing structure is robust and resistant to damage and penetration by foreign objects. The result: versatility, low weight and an attractive design. Tyres made with this technology can also be used with an inner tube.

• E25: also suitable for e-bikes.

Technology

BlackChili
The BlackChili compound is produced exclusively at the Continental factory in Korbach, Germany, and combines the latest polymers with specially developed carbon black particles and fillers. Both cars and bicycles benefit from this technology. Fitted to a bicycle, tyres with BlackChili offer riders excellent reliability, whether racing downhill on a mountain bike or competing in time trials on a road bike.

Apex
Used successfully in car tyres for years, its transfer to bicycle tyres was only a matter of time. A natural rubber profile inserted between the casing layers at the base of the tyre stiffens the sidewalls, minimising tyre twisting under high lateral loads. Stiffer sidewalls in turn reduce the risk of punctures and prevent the tyre from slipping off the rim. At low pressures, grip is improved without making cornering too sluggish. The risk of punctures is significantly reduced.

Founded in Hanover in 1871, Continental is still based in the German city today. For cyclists, it makes tires and inner tubes for road, gravel, mountain biking and urban riding. Its connection with bicycles goes back to its early days: in 1892, it became the first German company to produce pneumatic bicycle tires.
